Answers to commonly asked questions:
- Do I need a doctor referral? No, not for the first visit. In MN, you can receive physical therapy services legally for 90 days without needing a doctor's referral. We will discuss when a referral is needed, if at all.
- Do you accept my insurance? No, I do not accept any insurance. I am a fee-for-service and out of network physical therapy provider. This means you pay for my service at the time you book your appointment. This is different than the traditional, insurance based care and allows me to provide treatment according to your needs without any surprise bills or limitations. I accept all major credit cards and payment methods including HSA. I can also provide a Superbill for you to directly submit to your insurance for out of network benefits. I am legally unable to treat Medicare beneficiaries as I am not a Medicare provider. Please contact me for more information if you have Medicare as your insurance provider.
- Why did you decide to not provide traditional, insurance based physical therapy services? I wanted to be able to provide a more personalized, unique, and holistic form of physical therapy without limitations. I have practiced in multiple settings and find that I was spending time in areas that didn't benefit the patient. By stepping out of the traditional PT model, I can put more value on what each patient needs and deserves.
